On August 27th, 2023 Yorktown Volleyball player Charlotte Vinson got her 1,000th kill. Charlotte said,” She felt really good and she thought she would reach it but when she actually did it she knew it was such a big accomplishment for her.” Charlotte said “that since reaching this she would use it in her future in a way to break the record and the career kills.” While Charlotte was the one who received this accomplishment she stated “It wouldn’t have been possible without her team. She said that Coach Bloom, her parents, and her older sister were her biggest supporters as she strived to get to this point in her career.” Charlotte is now verbally committed to Indiana University for the fall of 2025 and is going to continue her amazing volleyball career there.
